This is how it goes. The magician picks up the wand for the child to use and explains how to hold it and what to do. As the magician is doing this the white tip of the wand starts to droop. The children shout and tell the magician that it is happening. By the time the magician looks up it is back in 1 piece. The magician checks to see that the end is OK by tapping it - its fine.
